With emphasis on exceptional design, our firm’s portfolio encompasses institutional, commercial, multi-family, resort and high-quality residential work, both new construction and remodeling. Our work is represented liberally along the coast of Maine, in numerous states, abroad, and in publications.

Established in 1992, our office is structured around a collaborative studio atmosphere.
Principals Richard L. Bernhard AIA and John W. Priestley 3rd AIA, combine their design talents on every project, and draw upon the diverse experience of the entire six person staff. We are allied with numerous creative and competent consultants whom we utilize extensively to complement our efforts. We take pride in providing our clients with complete guidance through all phases of architectural programming, design, construction
and budget review.

We believe that each owner and project deserves a unique building; as such, we do not ascribe to one particular style. We frequently look to historical precedents for inspiration. To us, the most successful designs appear to have a timeless quality and connectedness to their location.
